《阿姨》是以在本人家中从事住家保姆整整二十二年的黄秀云为主人公进行创作的人物纪录片。1999年，黄秀云因难忍丈夫家暴、为解决儿女温饱，孤身从广西农村来到深圳宁家做住家保姆至今。影片通过对黄秀云这些年来被出轨、被儿女打骂、被雇主刁难等现实遭遇的记录与追溯，综合反映了分别作为保姆、母亲、女人时的黄秀云，所面临的坎坷而又无奈的命运，亦展现了黄秀云在面对命运的不公时，从拒不屈服到自我妥协的心路历程。
